The College of Science is at the forefront in science innovation and cutting-edge research. For students whose dream career is working in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, or earth and environmental resource sciences, we can help them realize that reality!
Our country and world are more dependent on strategic and sustainable resources such as water, air, fuels, critical minerals, and manufacturing materials like never before in our history. The job market in these fast-growing areas represents unlimited career opportunities for our students once they are trained and graduate. Those in greatest demand are graduate students as they will be the leaders expected to design, develop, discover and determine best practices to meet the growing needs for our nation in a strategic and sustainable manner. These students will require training in an inter-disciplinary setting that provides them with the resources, laboratory and field research environment to make these discoveries at UTEP that will allow them to transition into 21st century industries to apply their skills.
With your support, our students will have greater access to scholarship funding to reduce their overall cost of education. Your donations will provide these students with unique access to cutting-edge technologies in the laboratory, access to equipment outside of UTEP, the ability pay for research travel to key field sites and cover costs such as fuel, food and housing. It will also allow them to work within a virtual world to seamlessly bring together the knowledge of supply chains, materials, and support the transition to renewable energy thereby reducing our dependence on foreign materials necessary for national security and defense. With your gift, our students will be able to follow their passion and support the future of our nation.
