The UTEP Strength and Conditioning Department works with all UTEP student-athletes to help reduce injury and improve potential athletic performance. We work with all of our athletes in the five areas of Strength, Speed, Conditioning, Flexibility/Mobility, and Nutrition and Supplementation. Our goal is to help develop leaders of character and assist our athletes in getting closer to reaching their physical potential through a variety of strength, power, speed, and agility disciplines.
"The importance of additional funding in our area cannot be emphasized enough. Our field is continually evolving each and every day and additional fund would provide our staff with the opportunity to go to the NSCA and CSCCA national conferences each year to meet with learn from the very best in our industry across not only college athletics, but the world of athletics as well. We are around the student athletes during the calendar year more than their individual sport coaches and, with additional resources, can make an even greater impact on each one of them."
KEVIN SCHADT
Director of Strength and Conditioning
With additional funds to the UTEP Strength and Conditioning Program, UTEP can expand the technology used by upgrading sports science software and equipment to improve tracking during workouts and recovery. If UTEP is able to utilize state of the art software and training systems, all 325 student-athletes will be one step closer to competing and winning championship in their tenure at UTEP.
