At KTEP, we inform, educate, and entertain the public to increase knowledge of the world, appreciation of the arts, and understanding of the human condition. Additionally, it is our mission to train and educate students at the University of Texas at El Paso in the art of broadcasting.
Whether it’s national and international news from NPR, or local/borderland news from our own 2022 National Edward R. Murrow Award recipient, Angela Kocherga, you will find the unbiased and unfiltered news you need on KTEP.
For Raise Your Pick Giving Day, we are graciously asking you to support KTEP. Approximately one-third of our operating budget is provided by donations from our listeners, which means your contribution will directly impact our ability to provide your favorite programming.
On behalf of the KTEP staff, thank you in advance for your generosity. We remain “Your NPR Station for the Southwest.”
KTEP is licensed to The University of Texas at El Paso and is operated as a public service to the region. While UTEP provides substantial support to cover the costs of salaries, utilities, and facilities, the University does not provide funding for radio programming as part of the station's yearly budget. KTEP relies on additional funds from donations to help purchase your favorite programs. All gifts made to KTEP are processed and receipted by the University.
In addition to KTEP the College of Liberal Arts is seeking support for additional programs. Please click the buttons below to explore the various campaign areas:
