Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

Gifts to SAAC go directly to the student-athlete leaders who are committed to positively shaping the UTEP student-athlete experience through leadership development, events, and meaningful engagement.

The UTEP Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is made up of representatives from all 17 sports programs. Your support directly contributes to a variety of meaningful initiatives — including social events, leadership conferences, and the creation of a new assistance fund. This fund will help cover the cost of national honor society membership fees for those in need, as well as provides financial support for graduation regalia, snacks, school supplies, and other essential items for student-athletes facing economic hardships.

"This giving day, we invite you to join us in supporting the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) — a body of dedicated student-athletes who exemplify leadership, service, and excellence within the UTEP athletics community. These student leaders not only represent their teams with pride, but also work diligently to elevate the student-athlete experience through strategic campus initiatives, community engagement, and peer-driven advocacy.

Your partnership will directly support the continued growth of SAAC’s programming — fostering school spirit, developing future leaders, and advancing initiatives that align with UTEP’s broader mission of academic and athletic distinction. With your support, you are investing in the next generation of leaders who will carry forward the values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

We believe in the power of collaboration to create lasting impact. Every contribution plays a vital role in empowering our student-athletes to make meaningful change on our campus.”

With increased funding, SAAC can broaden its cultural and community-focused initiatives, host events that celebrate the accomplishments of our student-athletes, and strengthen its outreach efforts within the El Paso community. These initiatives not only enrich the student-athlete experience but also foster stronger connections between UTEP Athletics and the broader El Paso region.

By equipping UTEP SAAC with the resources to grow and engage more meaningfully, you’re helping pave the way for it to become a conference- and nationally recognized organization — a true point of pride for both UTEP and the city of El Paso. We’re excited about the remarkable impact these student-athletes can achieve — and it all begins with your support.
