Meet Maximilian Rothblatt, a talented mechanical engineering student who has benefitted from the generous support of donors like you. Thanks to engineering scholarship and endowments, Maximilian has been able to pursue his passion for engineering without the added pressure of financial stress. Additionally, he has taken advantage of various internship opportunities, including coveted spots in John’s Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) internship programs. As Maximilian now works towards his master’s degree in mechanical engineering, he remains grateful for the opportunities he has been given and is determined to use his education to make a positive impact in the world.

“Getting involved in mechanical engineering research early on in my collegiate career was critical to my growth and achievements as a UTEP student. It allowed me to progress towards prestigious internships and fellowships such as the Rhodes Scholarship, in which I was selected as a finalist. I am so grateful for all the opportunities that UTEP and The College of Engineering has provided. I am looking forward to my future as a Developmental Engineer within the United States Space Force and giving back to UTEP to provide future students opportunities for experiences like mine.”
